Adult Volunteers

You don't need to be an "old salt" to help out on the Chaser. 

Running a program like ours requires a wide variety of people and skills.  If you would like to have hands on time helping the Chaser program, we always have needs to fill.  Here is a partial list of needed skills to help maintain Chaser and our base facilities:

 

  • Painting

  • Wood work and cabinetry

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical (from minor to installation of 50kw generators and main panels)

  • Electronics (installation and maintenance of onboard communications, computers, navigation equipment, etc.)

  • Roofing

  • Landscape maintenance

  • Sales (selling donated boats, cars, etc.)

  • Fund Raising

  • Instructors (teach nautical skills like marlinspike, piloting, small boat handling, etc.)

  • Mechanical (we have large diesels to 2 hp outboards)
